Lindsey Reed, LCSW
Lindsey Reed is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland and her Master of Social Work from George Mason University. Lindsey has been providing mental health services for the past 12 years across various settings and fulfilling different roles. She has specialized training in working with the military population and providing psychotherapy to veterans experiencing trauma. She is also skilled in treating adolescents and supporting the families within an attachment-based, systemic framework.
Lindsey has gone on to train in advanced psychotherapy modalities in order to incorporate the body in the treatment process. Such experiential modalities work to target the brain and the nervous system's survival response to aid an individual in mobilizing past feeling stuck. She has achieved the credential of EMDR Trained Therapist, as well as "psychodramateer". She is also engaged in the laborious and rewarding process of becoming a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
Lindsey's understanding of how early life experiences impact current symptoms, relationships, and every day stress allow the individuals she serves to feel seen, empowered, and connected.
